The Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines which the country have been waiting has just arrived in the country today a development which will help the country to easy the dire situation posed by the deadly coronavirus.
The country is expecting to start rolling out the vaccine this week as the “faster our country is protected against this virus, the faster Zimbabwe’s economy can flourish.“
The good news to the nation were delivered by the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa who wrote: “The first batch of vaccines for Zimbabwe has been successfully delivered. We start vaccinating Zimbabweans this week! The faster our country is protected against this virus, the faster Zimbabwe’s economy can flourish. God bless you all, god bless Zimbabwe!“
Early January this year, Zimbabwe saw a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases, recording hundreds of deaths and new cases in 24 hours.
The situation seemed to have of late as the country is now recording low figures of below hundred in 24 hours.
As at 14 February 2021, Zimbabwe had an accumulated number of COVID-19 cases of 35172 and total deaths of 1400.
Yesterday, the country recorded 68 new cases and 2 deaths as indicated on the highlights schedule below.
