AC Milan striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic could face a football long ban by the football governing board FIFA which could see the veteran prematurely hanging over his boots given his age.
The 39 year old is facing three year ban due to his partnership with a Malta based b€t company.
It is being reported that the Swedish international owns a 10% stake of the of B€thard under his company, Unknown AB.
My Gokwe Media understands that the Swedish Football Association have been aware of the issue for three years but they did not action, one of the reasons why he was not called up for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
His participation in the company could see him receive a three-year ban from FIFA or a hefty fine.
FIFA and UEFA do not allow it’s players in their competitions to have financial business in such type of companies.
My Gokwe also understands that Ibrahimovic’s company, Unknown AB, is one of the top shares owner at the company, which reportedly made a profit of £25.79m after tax.
Ibrahimovic may have also violated FIFA’s rules during the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Georgia.
In 2018, Ibrahimovic was announced as an ambassador of the company.
He said: “I have been approached all the time by such companies throughout my football career, but this is the first time an offer has triggered me.
“With the new company, they had something different. It’s a company that started right in, the founders are people in my home town and they truly want to do things differently“.
FIFA’s ethical rules state that anyone who violates rules will be punished by a possible suspension from all football actives for a maximum of three years or be given a fine.
Ibrahimovic will become 40 years old in October and would have to retire if he was to be give the three years football ban.
