By Pastor Blessed Mugabiri
The only challenge we have is that people don’t understand the mind of God. If we knew the mind of God it was going to be easy to answer the above question.
As Africans we were taught few important things that I want to share with you. Marry a person whom you know, keep your virginity, honour your parents,
Marrying the person you know helps that you will be able to understand one’s character. If you know that Peter is a womaniser and you love him as he is we will never have a problem of divorce and infidelity.
2 Corinthians 6:14, “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?” So if we’re both Catholics we believe in the same doctrine. If we’re both Pentacostals we believe in the same thing.
If you marry someone who doesn’t trust your Priest or Pastor thus where fight begins. Someone who is a Christian and choose a Christian will ask the partner about the mind of God about sex before marriage. An African man or woman will ask the same if the partner advances towards that direction.
Let’s know what we want first from our partners before we propose or accept the proposal. I know we have some single people in this group who must know what they want from a partner and choose according to that. Choosing according to what other people want, peer pressure or your age makes you a single parent.
Having all people agreeing that if you refuse to have sex before you are married you are going to die single does not make you married. Okay if you die single are you not going to be buried? Do not worry about being single.
Most people who made this mistake did not value their virginity. If all people had value their virginity and had kept themselves pure for their partners were not going to have this problem. Kare vanhu vaiboora jira vakawana mudzimai akabva umhandara. These days we are keeping secrets of the sin hoping you are going to repent but this is even promoting it. White weddings are no longer white these days. You are going to realise the more we value this we are going to have happy marriages.
So many people are complaining about the size of their partners’ private organ because he or she tasted variety and knows different sizes. As long as you coming from this position even if ukachachura before you are married, you will never be satisfied when you are married.
There is a certain bond that you develop with someone whom you have sex with for the first time. That’s a covenant you make when mix your blood with someone else’s blood. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
Respect the elders and pay attention to their advice. Do you know all those that had made mistakes in life they don’t want their children to repeat the same mistake? When you hear the old ‘madalas’ telling you that something is not good they know it’s not good. They lived before you were there and learnt some things by discovering but they can not allow you to learn the same way. Colossians 3:20, “Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.”
Marriage is the institute that God began and He loves it. Proverbs 18:22, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.” It’s us who spoil it by doing it outside the LORD’s ways. If we do it God’s way we’re not going to have single parents unless by death.
In conclusion I say never have sex before marriage. If you do it you are going against the will of God. Tinozongomirira kunowira tsvimbo nedowe.
Stay tuned for part 2…
